Reflections on AWS re:Invent: A springboard for continued growth
and innovation
At AWS re:Invent 2024, ScaleCapacity found itself at the heart of a dynamic ecosystem of ideas, innovations, and meaningful connections. Whether
engaging with customers to explore solutions for their most pressing challenges, collaborating with partners on exciting new opportunities, exploring new
cutting-edge tools for our engineers, or celebrating shared customer successes, AWS re:Invent reminded us why we do what we do and we are more energized than ever.
Here are our most memorable takeaways from AWS re:Invent:
ScaleCapacity recognized at re:Invent for customer success
In a re:Invent breakout session, AWS spotlighted ScaleCapacity for our work with the City of Los Angeles. Collaborating with the city’s Information Technology Agency (ITA), we transitioned their on-premises secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) solution to AWS. By leveraging AWS Transfer Family, we developed a serverless solution that simplified file sharing, streamlined their complex employee onboarding processes, and improved the ITA’s disaster recovery capabilities. This migration reduced the ITA's on-premises maintenance costs and resources which helped the ITA avoid expenses of almost $100K a year.

This year, ScaleCapacity also supported the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. We built a compliant and user-friendly transcription application powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) on AWS—saving the office 60% in costs and enhanced efficiency. We are also proud of the launch of our race-blind charging solution, which automatically redacts race-related information from relevant court documents to advance fairness in the criminal justice system. These projects exemplify how ScaleCapacity delivers not only cost-savings and efficiency but also a bolder vision of how our customers can make an impact for those they serve.
New AWS innovations to enhance our customer solutions
AWS re:Invent 2024 unveiled a host of cutting-edge technologies and feature upgrades, sparking excitement across the ScaleCapacity team. Among the highlights were new features introduced for Amazon Connect, a key tool we use to help customers transform their contact center experiences. With enhanced generative AI capabilities, improved interfaces, and upgraded security features, Amazon Connect is set to enable more personalized customer interactions while ensuring sensitive data is handled with care.
As we look toward 2025, these innovations are already fueling our vision for customer success. Tools like Amazon Q in QuickSight will empower us to deliver smarter analytics; the next generation of Amazon SageMaker will accelerate AI experimentation and development; new AWS Trainium2-powered Amazon EC2 instances will provide the scalability needed to take on even the most complex workloads; and Amazon Q Developer will help us deliver solutions while maintaining the agility that sets us apart.
