Senior Technical Project Manager

Reports to: PMO Practice Leadership

Role Purpose

The purpose of the Senior Technical Project Manager (PM) is to oversee and manage complex technical projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet all scope, timeline, and budget requirements. The Senior Technical PM will manage complex customer delivery requirements for projects that are of strategic importance to ScaleCapacity, such as business and technology transformations and managed service contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive Planning:

    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and milestones.

    • Ensure alignment with customer expectations and strategic goals.

    • Continuously monitor and adjust plans to mitigate risks and keep the project on track.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.

    • Address any concerns promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.

    • Develop and present key project reports and status updates to all stakeholders.

  • Risk Management:

    • Identify potential risks early and develop mitigation strategies.

    • Monitor risks continuously and adjust plans as necessary.

  • Quality Assurance:

    • Implement rigorous quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet high standards.

    • Conduct regular reviews and audits to maintain quality throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Team Leadership and Coordination:

    • Lead and coordinate project teams, fostering a collaborative environment.

    • Organize regular meetings to address concerns and provide feedback.

    • Clarify roles and responsibilities to ensure cohesive and efficient teamwork.

    • Hire, train, and mentor project managers and team members.

    • Provide ongoing professional development opportunities.

  • Technical Leadership:

    • Lead technical teams through all phases of the project lifecycle.

    • Ensure technical solutions meet business requirements and are delivered on time.

    • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.

  • Customer Satisfaction:

    • Ensure that all project deliverables meet or exceed customer expectations.

    • Gather and act on customer feedback to improve future projects.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Traits

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, engineering, or a related field.

  • Advanced certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) are preferred.

  • Experience working with engineers/developers (full stack, backend, frontend) and deep understanding of business and technical requirements are preferred.

  • Extensive experience in project management, including managing multiple high-priority complex technical projects.

  • Proven track record of successful project delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

  • Ability to see the big picture and manage intricate details
